GLS 1/4 pancakes
Recently I purchased some Switchcraft 228 1/4' plugs, from a major supply house. I have a pedal board that needed rewiring, and thought the narrow profile of the 228's would work well within it's confined space. Well the profile of the 228 was fine; it was everything else that was disappointing. The Switchcraft's shipped without any solder lugs (Tip or Sleeve) or a defecting tab to cover the (+) from shorting out to inside cover. These features used to be standard on the 228's, but not anymore. It is almost impossible to not melt the outside jacket of your expensive cable, while trying to establish a good ground. Luckily, I was able to salvage some of my melted Canare GS-6, before I sent the 228's packing. Enter the GLS Audio (228 style) plug. Nice (+&-) solder lugs & plastic cover tab for the positive lead, a Gold shaft Tip, and a beautiful Black finish on the outside cover shell. All in all, just a fantastic 1/4 plug at a reasonable price. Thanks OCS <0 jimE
