The GLS Audio Pancake 1/4" right-angle plugs use fibgerglass insulators which is much better than the black plastic insulators found on most other brands of plugs.  They also have two separate solder tabs. Features:

  • Black Electrophoretic coated back cover (non-conductive)
  • Highest Grade fiberglass insulator
  • Gold tip for maximum connectivity
  • Dual Tabs for easy soldering
  • EM6 inside insulator tab
  • Low Profile Pancake Design
  • World famous GLS Audio quality!

Size Specs:

  • Height: 34.20mm (1.346")

Perfect Pedal Board Plugs
A good test of plug quality is to grab the tip and see if you can twist it with your fingers. These plug tips are solid and gold plated to boot. The low profile makes them perfect for patching effect pedals and at a bargain price.

These plugs are as good as it gets
These are great plugs! They are easy to solder and they are every bit as good as switch craft jacks for less money. I have personally bought these multiple times, and will continue to do so as my needs for them arise. Great company, Great products.

Great plugs
Great plugs. I have at least 60 on 3 working boards, and have never had a bad one. Best value in plug on the market, and a quality product. I was skeptical when I first ordered, but the proof is in the puddin'.....

GLS 1/4" Mono Black Pancake Plugs
The pancake plugs (in this case the black) are great! What I love about them is the "side ear/wing" for the ground wire to be soldered onto, making it a bit easier/faster/cleaner to build. I've already ordered well over 100 of them, and I'll keep ordering them. So good!

Great looking, great value, great service
Easy to work with, just look at the pictures for how to solder them. My first batch I tried folding the conductor tab over- it doesn't work, they snap. Off to the side works fine. For thin cables like Mogami 2319 I put on an inch of 1/4 shrink tube and they are perfect.

Good Solid Plugs
Used these to make custom cables for a guitar pedal board. They are sturdier than I thought they would be and grip the cable very well when fully assembled. Gold tips are a plus. The slightly shallower connectors created more space between pedals.

Nice addition
I've been using the regular GLS pancake plugs for years. This is a nice addition to the line. I love the black backs.

GLS 1/4 pancakes
Recently I purchased some Switchcraft 228 1/4' plugs, from a major supply house. I have a pedal board that needed rewiring, and thought the narrow profile of the 228's would work well within it's confined space. Well the profile of the 228 was fine; it was everything else that was disappointing. The Switchcraft's shipped without any solder lugs (Tip or Sleeve) or a defecting tab to cover the (+) from shorting out to inside cover. These features used to be standard on the 228's, but not anymore. It is almost impossible to not melt the outside jacket of your expensive cable, while trying to establish a good ground. Luckily, I was able to salvage some of my melted Canare GS-6, before I sent the 228's packing. Enter the GLS Audio (228 style) plug. Nice (+&-) solder lugs & plastic cover tab for the positive lead, a Gold shaft Tip, and a beautiful Black finish on the outside cover shell. All in all, just a fantastic 1/4 plug at a reasonable price. Thanks OCS <0 jimE

Great for pedal boards
I use GeorgeL cable and solder these connectors on each end for routing my pedal board. No more 90 degree connection problems and quite a bit of money savings. I call that a win win. One tip, when using GeorgeL cable the shielding keeps the cable from twisting about its axis, so before soldering make sure you orient where you want the 90 degree connections to be pointing. I use two or three short pieces of shrink wrap tubing to ensure a strain relief connection. These are superior than switchcraft.
